Staged by the Brazil Human Rights Fund from June 24th to 27th in São Paulo, the 6th Projects Summit brought together twenty representatives of initiatives supported through the 2012 Call for Proposals.
The event, held annually, was focused on the importance of communications as a tool for visibility and stimulated reflection about the theme of human rights.
The 6th Projects Summit was sponsored by Petrobrás as part of the project, “Strengthening the empowerment of networks and collectives for the promotion of Human Rights in Brazil,” with the support of the Getúlio Vargas Foundation School of Law.
Workshop
On June 27th, the Fund invited several members of organized civil society to the workshop, “Advances and challenges for the guarantee of human rights in the country.” The event listed victories, challenges and pointed out possibilities to protect human rights. Social movements and the current round of street protests were also the focus of discussions.
