On December 4th in São Paulo, the Brazil Human Rights Fund announced two calls for proposals for 2014. The event, co-sponsored by Sesc-SP, featured a concert by Carlinhos Antunes and the Orquesta Mundana, including a guest appearance by the musician Renato Braz, who performed a set dedicated in homage to the Chilean artist Violeta Parra. The Fund will support, through these two selection processes, projects from organizations or individuals throughout the country that work to defend human rights.
The Annual 2014 Call for Proposals is aimed at initiatives that combat various types of discrimination and institutional violence; and the special invitation for proposals, Sporting Mega-events and Human Rights, is focused on construction projects for the World Cup and Olympics
