The Brazil Human Rights Fund launched two project selections at the start of December to support projects throughout all regions of the country. The annual 2015 selection will donate R$ 800,000 to projects that look to combat institutional violence and discrimination.
The Confronting Human Trafficking Selection will donate R$ 360,000 to fortify a new line of support to groups who cooperate to confront this reality.
According to information of the Ministry of Justice, human trafficking is one of the highest growing activities in the 21st century, which worries human rights defenders.
The two selections were launched during a show with samba artist Leci Brandão at Sesc Vila Mariana in São Paulo.
