The press in Piauí and Ceará reported on the projects monitored during visits held by the Brazil Fund. The Fund’s aim in this is to realize part of its mission: to grant visibility to human rights organizations on the ground.
In Piauí, for example, the newspaper O Dia published a report showing the work of GPTrans in giving greater visibility to the state’s transsexuals and transvestites. See the article here (Portuguese only).
In Ceará, the newspaper O Povo showcased the visits and the CBN radio station interviewed Taciana Gouveia – listen here (Portuguese only). The Brazil Fund projects coordinator also gave an interview to SBT TV and spoke about the work of Cedeca in relation to adolescents who suffer violence in juvenile detention facilities.
