Social Justice Philanthropy

Brazil Fund encourages Brazilian philanthropy to support civil society organizations that defend the rights of the most vulnerable groups. Fundraising and the construction of a local environment that enables the defense of human rights are part of the Fund’s strategy.

The six funds and three community foundations that are part of the Network of Independent Funds work at the root of the problems, from the perspective of advocacy as well as of the empowerment of stakeholders, whose rights need to be respected.

As a member of international networks that support projects related to human rights, the Fund attracts more visibility to the Brazilian situation and to the work that is being done.
