Contexto
From 12 to 20 May 2006, São Paulo lived a strong wave of violence. Dozens of arrests have taken place simultaneously, hundreds of people were killed and the largest metropolis in Latin America stopped, in what became known as the “the PCC attacks” [short for First Capital Command, a group accused of leading prison inmates in this action and of coordinating criminal actions]. After nine years, it is still not possible to know what in fact happened during those days. Among hundreds of uninvestigated cases, there are evidences that some young people missing might have been buried in mass graves. Even today, there is no official report to explain and give a minimally satisfactory answer to society about the events of “May 2006”.
